Every year we host a blueberry picking day for our CSA members and their kids. This is one of the most fun things of the year. It is a chance for the children to come to the farm and see how blueberries are grown. They bring their buckets and pick and eat and pick and eat. The excitement and wonder these kids show at something so simple is a beautiful sight. I think one of the best things about being a CSA member is connecting your children to where their food comes from. So we are hard at work getting ready. Got the table cloths, plates, mimosas, water, and muffins. Sounds like party! This may be the best blueberry day ever because the bushes are absolutely heavy with fruit. Bring on the mommies and babies!
